About Fundación Grupo Mariana
From Grupo Mariana comes Fundación Grupo Mariana, which has been created expressly to organize and support socially responsible programs dedicated to fostering growth, self-reliance and sustainability in the New Nicaragua. In the spirit of giving, this non-profit organization will provide financial support as part of its corporate commitment to have a positive influence on the communities that surround its family of resort properties. To that end, Grupo Mariana has done something truly special to support Nicaragua and its people.
The mission of the organization is: “To create and support through education and healthcare a sustainable model of community economic and social development that will improve the lives of local citizens.” The ultimate goal is to transform the New Nicaragua into Central America’s most admired and respected country where all citizens enjoy healthy and positive lives.
The web site www.FundacionGrupoMariana.com has been put online to propagate their message and act as an information portal about the most current initiatives.
Several important areas of focus are included in the Fundación Grupo Mariana strategy. These include health care, education and supporting local organizations. Planning to successfully orchestrate and execute in these areas is well underway.
In the health arena, programs are being implemented to assist Nicaraguans in the following areas:
- Medical facilities renovation and construction
- Waste management (community clean-up, recycling, etc.)
