Robert D. Hale has joined Grupo Mariana as Executive Vice President of Operations, bringing over 20 years of construction and development experience to the Nicaraguan company engaged in a variety of real estate ventures. His immediate focus will be on initial construction activities at Seaside Mariana, the innovative resort community situated on 923 acres on the Pacific Ocean, as well as planning for the Wyndham Nicaragua Resort & Casino that will anchor the second phase of the resort.
Hale brings a wide range of experience and expertise to Grupo Mariana, having worked previously with Marriott, Wyndham and Walt Disney Imagineering on the development and construction of over 10,000 hotel, condominium and timeshare units. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Resort Development for Wyndham Vacation Ownership in Orlando, FL, before opening his own project management firm. He also has worked in management capacities with construction and engineering firms, and is a licensed general contractor. Hale received his degree in building construction from the University of Florida.

The official groundbreaking was held in March, and, after four years of meticulous planning, work is underway on the oceanfront community that will feature a variety of residential offerings, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, Wyndham Hotel & Resort, Plumeira Spa, town center and a full range of amenities. Development activities also continue at Isla Mariana, an eco-resort also on Nicaragua’s Pacific Coast.
