Grupo Mariana beat out tough competition to win at the 2009 Community Advancement Awards. This prestigious award recognizes the best developments in the building industry. The aim is to recognize developments that make major contributions to the community’s growth and quality of life.
Grupo Mariana was awarded the top honor in the Hotel and Residences category in Latin America. Seaside Mariana will advance to the worldwide competition to be held in March of 2010.
The Community Advancements Awards is held by The Developers and Builders Alliance. The annual Community Advancement Awards provides a platform for top developers to be recognized for their achievements. For the past six years the Community Advancement Awards have been held at the Grand Mar-A-Lago Club in the private Island of Palm Beach, Florida.
The purpose of the Developers and Builders Alliance is to stand as an exclusive international consortium of leaders in the development, construction and related industries. The Developers and Builders Alliance seeks to facilitate responsible cross continent investments, with the goal of effecting change in issues like unemployment and economic growth as well as providing a platform for a new era of development with sustainable technologies.

The Community Advancement Awards provide worldwide exposure to the recipients and enhance opportunities for expansion.
The Developers and Builders Alliance recently enhanced the context of the event with the addition of three distinct regions; Latin America and the Caribbean; USA and Canada; Euro Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Middle East.
A panel of judges who are committed to supporting the industry, defining the standards for quality, based on their technical expertise selected the Latin America and the Caribbean Region winners. Nominees were judged on contribution to world architecture; overall impact; innovative design and construction; environmental awareness; and demonstration of exceptional dedication and involvement with their communities.
Currently nominees in the United States of America and Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East Regions are being judged. An announcement is expected to be released shortly. In March of 2010 the worldwide competition will culminate with the announcement of the Top Worldwide Awards recipients. There will be an exclusive tribute ceremony that will be attended by intercontinental industry leaders and government dignitaries.
A large-scale publicity campaign tied to the Community Advancement Awards and tribute ceremony will benefit the winning companies and individuals. Companies will see increased exposure of their projects and services, which provides an opportunity for future business ventures. In addition, the proceeds will be donated to the Government of Haiti’s reforestation campaign.
